# 6.1 Projektgrenzen

Systemgrenze ist der Waldrand. Die genau bezeichnete Waldfläche ist die geographische Definition des Projektes (Lage und Größe). Die Projektfläche ist durch Karten, Koordinaten oder sonstige eindeutige Beschreibungen zu definieren. Bei Ungenauigkeiten der Flächendefinition sind konservative Werte anzunehmen. Holznutzungen werden projektbezogen als Emissionen gerechnet. Mögliche Produktespeicher- oder Substitutionseffekte der Holzverwendung werden nicht dem Wald oder dem Waldeigentümer zugeschrieben.

Anrechenbar sind Flächen, welche die gesetzlichen Anforderungen an die Walddefinition erfüllen. Darüber hinaus werden isolierte Kleinflächen mit einer Fläche kleiner als 0.5 ha konservativ von der Projektfläche ausgeschlossen. Kann ein Wirtschaftszusammenhang zwischen einer solchen Fläche und anderen Waldflächen dargelegt werden, so kann diese trotzdem berücksichtigt werden. 

Blössen, dauerhaft unbestockte und unproduktive Flächen sind nicht zur Projektfläche anrechenbar.
