Summary

Impact Improved Forest Management (IIFM) is a method for certifying sustainable and natural forest management, which is oriented towards the future potential natural forests and (where sensible) promotes continuous cover forestry. The aim is to maximise carbon storage and biodiversity by increasing the stability, resistance and resilience of forest stands and reducing abiotic and biotic risks.
